Does anyone know any good teeth whitener that you can see a major effect in like a week or so? I know crest white strips are supposed to work but its always hard to keep it in my teeth. Any teeth whitener you can brush on? Anything?

Hello,
As a nurse and from my own personal use… I swear by the Professional formula of Crest White Strips which are available only at Dentist’s offices…. Ive used the crest strips sold in stores and they are “okay” but nothing to brag about.
The professional formula gives you a glowing, noticeably white smile…. they cost about $50… a little more than the ones sold in the stores…. but the price is well worth it for the noticeable change in whiteness.
The directions say to use them twice a day for 3 weeks… However… I found that what works best for me is, I used only once a day, every day for a week to get whiter. Also using less often helps to prevent sensitivity problems because the professional ones are much stronger than store bought… then I keep the rest of the box to use on “special days” such as first dates, clubbing / nights out, weddings, photo opps, holidays, graduations, etc.
Using em this way allowed me to get a white smile right away without becoming sensitive… Then I have extra strips for when I need to be extra pretty such as dates. The box is huge and there’s ALOT of strips…. so they last me about a year… including all special dates, holidays, graduations, vacations, parties, nights out with my girls.
They come with a travel case with mirror and a $7 rebate.
The best way to apply:
I find the best time to start them is right after a professional cleaning at your dentist… which you should be doing every 6 months for proper dental health.
But if you weren’t just cleaned… they will still work.
1. Brush teeth first, floss, use mouthwash. Rinse with water.
2. Now open the packet for the upper strip.
3. Smile wide and allow your lip to go beyond the top of the gum line.
4. Grap the strip by the edge only lightly so you dont mess up the product which is a gel.
5. Pay special attention to apply the strip against your upper teeth right up to the gum line. ( prevent going beyond the gum line, because the gel can be irritating to the gum tissue)
6. Hint: let your tongue smooth the remaining part onto the backside of the teeth and adhere to the front surface… such in a little air and smooth your tongue along the front surface. (helps the strip to stay in place better and adhere to all the little nooks and crannies)
7. Repeat for the bottom teeth.
8. Allow to remain on for 30 minutes…. do your hair, do your make up, shave, chat on the net, watch a movie, TV show, crossword….. whatever you want! The time goes by quickly.
9. Most important: Dont Eat Dont Drink while wearing. Talking is okay, but you will sound like you have a lisp.
10. When the time is up, take them off and rinse with warm tap water. ( Cold water will make them sensitive.)
Good Luck, and happy whitening!

I have not tried this personally, but I have seen the results in person. Get the Crest White Strips and apply them when you are tanning. They whiten your teeth really fast and work alot better with the tanning bed bulbs. SMILE BIG! Good Luck!

Well the whitening strips do work pretty fast. I didn’t even use them for the whole time suggested it. You just gotta deal with it.

I actually thought the Crest whitestrips were fine. I’m sure the professional-strength forumulas will give quicker results(the ones you can do yourself at home.) The best option would be to go to a dentist and have them do it…but that’s pretty damn expensive.

Brush your teeth thoroughly.
Mix about one tablespoon of baking soda with about 1/2 a table spoon of peroxide.
Put this paste on your toothbrush, and brush your teeth for three to five minutes.
Rinse and do this at least twice a month.
Do not do it sooo often because it can ruin your teeth.
Avoid food and drinks that will stain your teeth like coffee or soda. Smoking stains too.
(if you dont have peroxide just baking soda alone will do)
